Tree Pruning

Pruning trees should be considered a fine art. When done properly this service can add to the aesthetics of your property and raise property value  substantially. We take special care to respect different techniques for different species of trees. Pruning of trees should be done with the use of an aerial lift or bucket truck when access allows. When access does not allow for use of lifts or bucket trucks, trees should be climbed “spikeless”. This method is carried out by putting a climber in trees without the use of climbing spikes. Trees, just like any living thing on Earth, require wound healing. The healing process takes energy and makes the tree more susceptible to other threats. Even a tree in optimal health could become health compromised, and issues could arise due to the spike holes left from spiking.

Tree topping can severely damage trees! By removing an excess of leaves, the tree's food source is stripped away. The remaining shortened limbs provide easy access to decay, insects and disease, leaving the tree forced to quickly grow new limbs that are often too weak to handle storms.
